Applications

The installed application is designed for cell phone and it may not support full screen resolution.

The installed application is designed for cell phone as the cell phone is vertical type design but Tablet is horizontal type design.

The system will create a folder called "Download" under internal storage and store all downloaded files.

Simply install it again from the original App Center. The App center will not charge for the application again if it was already purchased. The purchase record is associated with your user account.

Click "Settings" -> "Applications" -> "Downloaded applications" and then select the application you wish to uninstall.

Audio

  •  Make sure the volume isn't turned down all the way or mute.
  •  Music on Tablet might be paused. If you are using a headphone with a play button, try pressing the playbutton to resume playing.
  •  Make sure the power adapter is not inserted into the earphone jack port.

Battery

  • Adjust the brightness of the LCD Screen to proper level in "Brightness setting".
  • Turn down the volume.
  • Set the time amount to proper level in "Screen timeout setting".
  • Turn off Wireless (WLAN, Bluetooth) when not in use.
  • Close the unused applications: tap the Multi-task  then slide left or right the selected applications.

For the first two times of charging the battery, the charging time may take up to 10 hours,succeeding times may take up 5 hours. During charging,the battery icon on the screen will curl in blue color. When charging is complete,the battery icon will stop curling.

Note: We suggest  power off the device to plug in power adapter for charging.

When the product is not in use, be sure to turn off the device.
Switch OFF WiFi / Bluetooth and close the unused apps to save battery.
If you have network applications running in the background (that are auto launched at boot, ex: checking the weather every 2 minutes) this will have an impact on the battery drain.
A screen set to maximum brightest also drains energy from the device. Set your device as well to have its screen go off after 2 minutes of non-use.
These things will help your battery conserve energy.

Wipe the device using a clean cellulose sponge or chamois cloth (i.e. 3M clean cloth)
For preventing wrong operation, it is suggested to clean the device after power off.

Hannspad tablets are covered by a 0/4/4 pixel policy: 0 bright dots / 4 dark dots / 4 total defect dots.
Only products above this tolerance will be considered as defective and thus will be treated in Warranty. 

POWER

  •  Make sure the SD card is not damaged. 
  •  Dismounting the SD card inappropriately may cause an SD card detection fail. 
  •  When SD card is mounted, go to "Settings" -> "Storage" -> "SD card" -> "Mount SD card" to engage SD card manually or simply re-in

In Home screen, enter ES File Explorer or File Manager and you should find the external storage "sd-ext" under Local or "SD card" under Home.
(Folder "sd card" represents external Micro SD card storage.) to remove

SYSTEM & SETTINGS

To check if there are any system updates available, connect to WIFI and then Settings > About Tablet > System updates.

There is no need to apply "Factory Data reset" after system update. All the updates will be applied automatically once OTA (over the air) update completed. 
If user wants to apply "Factory Data reset", please be aware of all installed applications and use

1. Select the item "Backup & reset" under Settings.
2. Select Factory data reset.

 

 - Press Power key button 8 secs to reset the Tablet can be booted into system or not.

i-phone system is IOS and the BT protocol is different from Android's.
So normally Android can't support i-phone's BT.
Note: About other device of Apple will be the same situation.
PS: Some special device can support both of IOS and Android's BT because of they
combine two protocol systems in one platform.

'Turn on the WiFi
Press the WiFi Icon to turn from Off to On (Select WiFi to turn it from OFF to ON)
Find a WLAN
Select a network from "Settings" → "Wi-Fi". Your Tablet will automatically search for available networks. Enter the network password if applicable – ensure this is typed correctly if you cannot connect first time
Add WLAN manually
Press "Add network" from "Settings" → "Wi-Fi". Enter the Network SSID and select Security type. Select Save to finish.

  •  Make sure both Bluetooth devices are turned ON. Tablet Bluetooth can be turned ON from "Settings" -> "Bluetooth".  
  •  Make sure both Bluetooth devices are within the maximum Bluetooth range. (i.e. within 10 meters). 

1. Make sure the access point is working.
2. If the access point can not be found from the Tablet automatically, manually set up the access point from "Settings" -> "Wi-Fi" -> "Wi-Fi Settings" -> "Add network".

Close unused applications: tap the Multi-task then slide left or right the selected applications

SOFTWARE UPDATE

There is no update support from Android 4.4 to 5.1.

 Please note that your tablet before the production week 47/2015 (e.g. S/N 546362FTxxxxx) is only suitable for Android 4.4 in that time.

Occasionally our tablets will have a firmware update available to fix bugs or improve certain features. Please ensure you have connected your tablet to a WIFI access point and plug your tablet directly into the mains or have sufficient battery (>50%) to complete the operation. As power loss during the update process may cause your tablet to become unusable.
• Make sure the device WiFi is connecting to internet.
• Go to "Settings" → "About tablet" → "System updates".    
• Follow the instruction on the pop up screen when there is an update available.
  (The online update depends on WiFi strength. It may take longer to download the Software from the server when WiFi strength is weak.)

The Software (UI) version can be found in "Settings" → "About tablet".  

STORAGE

Yes, SN1AT76 USB port do support USB charging. However this may take longer than charging the tablet using the AC adapter.

FOR ANDROID 5.1

  • Press volume + and power button at the same time until Boot Mode Menu appears.
  • Select Recovery Mode and confirm with OK.
  • After Android robot with red exclamation appearing hold power button then press volume + button into Android system recovery.
  • Select to “wipe data/factory reset” than press power key.
  • Select to “Yes- select all user data” than press power key.
  • System will show wiping data / formatting data and data wipe complete. When completed to select ”reboot system now”. 

 

FOR ANDROID 4.4

Occasionally we forget our passcode in order to re enter the device you will need to do a full factory reset. This will erase any information on the tablet and reset all account information to factory defaults.

Follow the below steps:Press hard key to restore initial status.

  • Power off the tablet
  • Hold VOL_ then press Power key at same time (about 4 seconds) until the hannspree logo appears.
  • Select to “wipe data/factory reset” than press power key.
  • Select to “Yes- select all user data” than press power key.
  • System will show wiping data / formatting data and data wipe complete. When completed to select ”reboot system now”.

Please check upper right corner settings of “ROTATATION LOCKED”.
If yes, please change it to “AUTO ROTATE”
(For Android 4.1; Please check lower right corner settings of ”Auto-rotate screen” from off to on.) to remove
NOTE: Some apps are designed for mobile phone only, so the app may not support the auto rotate function.

No, SN1AT76 do not support external recording device. (i.e. Bluetooth headset, USB microphone…etc.) Please use built-in microphone for recording.

Click "Settings" → "Backup & reset" to clear all user settings and recover the system to the default status.
WARNING: All installed applications and personal data will be erased (emails, contacts...etc.). Data saved in the internal storage like photos, music files etc will not be erased. Make sure to back up files.

The Android system recovery utility is an add-on recovery tool for the device. Wrong operation or misuse might cause system abnormalities and data/application loss. Please use it with care. 

If you need to reset your device to the factory default settings for any reason please follow the process below:
 
!!WARNING!! Please be aware that any information currently on the device will be permanently erased.
Go to application window and press settings.
Pick Backup & Reset
Select Factory data Reset – Leave the erase SD card option unticked and touch Reset Tablet.
Select Erase Everything.

TROUBLESHOOTING

It is recommended strongly to install Media Library and Dolphin Browser from Pre Play Store.

Please check under Settings if some apps can be moved to SD card.

Please check if the date and time under Settings are correct.

Because the button on the bottom is unwantedly used by pressing through your finger. Please try to slide from bottom to top on the screen.

Please restart the unit and try the player again.

WIRELESS

Make sure the access point is working.
If the access point can not be found from the Tablet automatically, manually set up the access point from "Settings" →  "Wi-Fi" →  "Add network".
If the access point is still missing after manual set up, the Wireless channel of the access point might not be in the built-in channel list.
User can manually select the Wireless channel of the access point from "Settings" → "Wi-Fi" → "Advanced"

Unwrap a paper clip and insert the end into the opening for the Reset button where it's located on the right side of your tablet's back cover until the screen goes dark. Then press the Power button to power on.

There is no need to apply "Factory Data reset" after system update. All the updates will be applied automatically once OTA (over the air) update completed. 
If user wants to apply "Factory Data reset", please be aware of all installed applications and use

 ****************Factory Resetting the device will delete all user data on the tablet.************

1.       Power off the tablet
2.       Hold down button  VOL + & Power  at same time (about 8 seconds) until the hannspree logo appears. (without power adapter)
3.       Select to “wipe data/factory reset” and press power key to confirm.
Select to “Yes- select all user data” and press power key to confirm.
System will show data wipe process in progress.
4.       When completed select ”reboot system now”. And press the power key to confirm

 ****************Factory Resetting the device will delete all user data on the tablet.************

 

 - Press Power key button 8 secs to reset the Tablet can be booted into system or not.

i-phone system is IOS and the BT protocol is different from Android's.
So normally Android can't support i-phone's BT.
Note: About other device of Apple will be the same situation.
PS: Some special device can support both of IOS and Android's BT because of they
combine two protocol systems in one platform.

WIRELESS

 - Make sure both Bluetooth devices are turned ON. Tablet Bluetooth can be turned ON from "Settings" -> "Bluetooth".  
 - Make sure both Bluetooth devices are within the maximum Bluetooth range. (i.e. within 10 meters). 

'Turn on the WiFi
Press the WiFi Icon to On from "Settings" → "Wi-Fi".
Find a WLAN
Select a network from "Settings" → "Wi-Fi". Your Tablet will automatically search for available networks. Enter the network password if applicable – ensure this is typed correctly if you cannot connect first time
Add WLAN manually
Press "Add network" from "Settings" → "Wi-Fi". Enter the Network SSID and select Security type. Select Save to finish.

1. Make sure the access point is working.
2. If the access point can not be found from the Tablet automatically, manually set up the access point from "Settings" ->"Wi-Fi" -> "Add Wi-Fi network".

  • Make sure both Bluetooth devices are turned ON. Tablet Bluetooth can be turned ON from "Settings" -> "Bluetooth". 
  • Make sure both Bluetooth devices are within the maximum Bluetooth range. (i.e. within 10 meters).
  • Make sure that your device is not Low Energy or in Low Energy Mode.
